Pursuing its strategy of attracting top investment banking experts, Galt & Taggart Securities (GTS) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new team members this week. Nick Maxymiv and Eugene Cherviachenko join Galt & Taggart’s Corporate Finance & Business Development segment and will focus on providing our institutional client base with equity and debt financing services, as well as origination and transaction execution.

Nick Maxymiv joins Galt & Taggart Securities as Head of Corporate Finance. Before coming to GTS, Nick managed a private investment advisory practice focused on attracting international investors to Ukraine.  Prior to that, he worked as a Manager in the Transaction Services Group at KPMG Ukraine, where he was involved in due diligence on cross-border M&A deals, as well as in New York in the Corporate Finance Group of Thomson Financial, a global financial data-technology company. At Thomson, he was involved in projects related to strategic M&A advisory, business development and in the area of third-party contract management and negotiations. He received his MA in Economics from Georgetown University in Washington DC and his BA from Montclair State University in New Jersey.

Eugene Cherviachenko joins Galt & Taggart Securities as Head of New Business Development in June 2009 after four years at Concorde Capital as a Senior Analyst covering a wide sector base, including the metals & mining and heavy machinery sectors, and later supervising metals & mining analysts. His research has received top acclaim from some of Ukraine’s largest business groups, including Metinvest, Donetskstal, Interpipe and DTEK. Eugene provided research support to the IB and Merchant Banking divisions at Concorde Capital, participated in private placements of Ukrainian companies, as well as non-deal road-shows in the USA, Europe and Russia, and provided consultancy services. Eugene received his MA in Finance from the Kyiv National Economic University. He was voted Ukraine’s best metals & mining research analyst in Thomson Reuters Extel`s 2008 Focus CIS Survey, and was third overall in voting for the best investment analyst in the Ukraine Research category.
