The Söderköping process/Cross-Border Cooperation process focuses on sharing of experience from the newly acceded EU Member States to Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine in aligning their migration and asylum related legislation, polices and practices with EU Acquis and in line with international standards. www.soderkoping.org.ua
At the press-conference latest project activities will be presented, inter alia, results of the workshop on Labour Migration and Remittances, presentation of the research on Migration trends 2004-2006 in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and newly acceded EU Member States. The event will be attended the Chief of IOM Mission in Ukraine Mr. Jeffrey Labovitz, UNHCR Regional Representation for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Mr. Roland Weil, attaché of the EC Delegation to Ukraine and Belarus Mr. Bernhard Bogensperger, Programme Officer of the Secretariat of the Soderkoping process Mr. Ilmars Mezs.
