The government does not pay salary to miners shifting problems to new government`s shoulders - the head of the independent trade-union of miners

In Donezk the miners do not get the salary according to the information of the press-service of the Yushchenko`s Central headquarters.

The head of the independent trade-union of miners of Ukraine Myhail Volynez commented this situation in such a way: `They do not pay salary at the moment in order to shift problems to new government`s shoulders. The new government is just being organized. The former official try to justify own activities through protest action as if this action prevented them from working and paying salary`. The indebtedness of the government to miners equals 427 million grn. These debts are the result of the systeme non payment of the salaries to miners beginning from 1997.

One of the Donezk miners on the Independence Square in Kyiv said that it was added to him instead usual 525 grivners 379 grivners 13 coins.
