In Kyiv, on the day of December 1, no situation that would possibly lead to the increase of prices for foodstuffs, is observed. Oleksander Omelchenko, Kyiv city head, stated this, answering the question of UNIAN correspondent. Speaking on the prices for industrial goods, city head mentioned that their increase depends only on the cost of oil products, gas and energy carriers. At the same time, Omelchenko expressed his hope that in several days Ministry of Finances, Ministry of Economy will begin their full-fledged work that will stabilize the situation on these markets. Commenting on the intentions of some retailing stores to increase prices for their goods, using unstable political situation in the country, he mentioned that organs of state and local governmenet have to control such actions. `We have to respond to such manifestations in time`, stressed mayor.
