Kuchma Opposes Power Solution of Conflict around Election Results
President Leonid Kuchma opposes use of power solution of the conflict around the results of the Presidential elections, the official announced at the session of the national council on coordination of activities of the national and regional state authorities and local self-government.
The session was attended by the governors, their deputies, a majority of ministers, leaders of some Parliamentary factions, as well as Petro Symonenko, leader of the Communist Party, Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, as well as Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Speaker of the Parliament, and Adam Martyniuk, deputy head of the Speaker.
Kuchma also pointed out that he had invited leaders of all Parliamentary factions to the meeting. `Invitation to the dialogues again have been refused by those who have not come`, he said.
