OSCE Observers: Second Round of Presidential Elections in Ukraine Did Not Meet International Standards
The second round of the Presidential elections in Ukraine failed to meed a wide range of the standards of OSCE, Council of Europe and other democratic standards of the European elections, Bruce George, OSCE special coordinator announced. MPs of the Parlaimentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, European Parliament, and NATO Parliamentary Assembly fully agree with this position, the official stressed.
The `power` did not respond positively to the call` of the international observers to obviate the violations, registered in the first round of the elections, the official also pointed out.
`We expected to observer more honest, transparent, and effective elections`, Bruce George stated.
