The major violation that could impact the outcome of the presidential election held October 31 is numerous mistakes in the lists of voters, as Ihor Popov, Chief of the Board, Voters Committee of Ukraine, reported at the press conference in the Information Centre `Prezydentska Doba 2004`.
According to the CVU estimates, up to 10% of voters who showed up at the polling stations could not implement their electoral right due to the imperfections in the voters’ lists. In general, very high turnout was reported. Other facts of hindering or impacting the process of voting were not numerous.
